The headscarf was originally a simple invention invented by the ancient working people when they were farming in the ground in order to avoid the heat of the hot sun as little as possible. It has been widely spread to the present and has become an easy-to-use, affordable accessory. Of course, it is only to resist the sun. In ancient times, it was a special product for farmers, and it was also worn by ethnic minorities in China. Modern Fujian tea pickers wear headscarves to shade when picking tea.

In Africa, Togo, Benin, Nigeria and other places, women like to wear a robes made of brightly colored cloth, and make a baotou on the head with the same color, texture of the cloth, it seems ten different. Outsiders may be surprised, the weather is so hot, why bother to pack the head so tightly? In fact, this headscarf is the "head wallet" of the locals. The women put the long strips of flowers around the head for several rounds, and then put a piece of banknotes between the headscarf when they went out. It turns out that although the traditional robes are sunscreen and breathable, the fabric is too soft and not suitable for sewing pockets. Even if it is sewn, things can easily fall out. Plus women often carry children, and money is even less secure in their pockets. "Head wallet" is different: one can be tight, can not shake, can not open. Second, it is top of head,  the thief  is equal to self-exposure if they steal, so it can effectively prevent theft.

The headscarf worn by men in the Arab countries has a habit of wearing in some Islamic countries in Africa and Southeast Asia. The Arab headscarf can be easily divided into a jacquard headband and a white headscarf according to the manufacturing method.

The headscarf of women in Islam has a unique meaning. The headscarf is not only one of the clothing of Muslim women, it is also a symbol of faith, awe of the Creator.
